her homegoing on February 18, 2025. Funeral arrangements to be determined.

Dear First Baptist Church of Venice Family, our mother, Jane Shipps, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of family on February 18th, 2025. As you well know, she spent her life impacting others through her strong faith, her lifelong ministry of music, and her generous nature. She is already deeply missed and we cherish the rich legacy of faith that continues to ring loudly in our ears and hearts just as surely as if she were speaking of the faithfulness of God to us all today. We are in the process of planning her memorial service to be held here in this church she so loved, for a later date to allow time for family and friends to travel across the miles.
